Job summary

BYD Singapore is seeking a Field Engineer to support aftersales operations for our electric commercial vehicle fleet. You will provide on-site technical support, diagnostics, and issue resolution to ensure fleet reliability.

In this role, you will liaise with BYD HQ engineering, service centers, and fleet customers, perform inspections, commissioning, and training, and document maintenance and service reports. Travel for on-site support is expected.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and diagnostics for BYD commercial electric vehicles.
Support service centres and customers in resolving complex technical issues efficiently.
Liaise with BYD HQ engineering and technical teams on product issues, root cause analysis, and solutions.
Work closely with LTA, PTOs, and fleet customers to support operational and technical requirements.
Conduct vehicle inspections, fault analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
Assist in commissioning, testing, and handover of new vehicles.
Deliver technical training and guidance to service teams, dealers, and customers.
Monitor vehicle performance and provide feedback for product improvement.
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of technical cases, service reports, and maintenance records.
Support warranty claims assessment and technical validation.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures.
