Job description

An individual contributor and team player with business development targets and responsibilities. This role focuses on client and intermediary-centric development from a product lens to strengthen the SGX equity derivatives franchise and drive adoption of incubation products.

The successful candidate is required to establish strategic coverage and network with buy side and sell side market participants to maximise SGX’s franchise value.

The role will collaborate closely with Product Managers in Derivatives Unit and Sales Account Managers in each region.

This role will report into Executive Director, Business Development in Derivatives Unit.

1. Core Responsibilities

Lead and execute business development work plans to capture business opportunities and build market/product ecosystem.

Establish SGX’s target market positioning and competitive dynamics to drive success in adoption of SGX products

Apply a wealth of industry knowledge about Asian Equity products on SGX to:

  • review and analyse market trends
  • formulate actionable work plans for specific product sales campaigns
  • work with key clients to innovate and enhance the competitiveness of SGX products and franchise
  • A key business development resource to drive adoption of incubation products:
  • Plan and execute go-to-market strategy for specific targeted products
  • support marketing teams in developing customised and high value sales and marketing pitches for key client groups and regions
  • provide support for marketing collaterals, advertising materials, marketing campaigns, tradeshows and other promotional activities

2. Key Deliverables

  • Client and intermediary-centric development to strengthen the SGX equity derivatives franchise and drive adoption in incubation products:
  • Strategic coverage and network with buy side and sell side market participants to meet specific product sales targets
  • Develop liquidity in new or nascent product pillars

3. Candidate Credentials

  • At least 10 years of direct experience in the finance industry, preferably from Equity Derivatives background
  • Strong network amongst front office professionals and management in equity derivatives in Asia and or Europe.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of financial industry standards, best practices, developments as well as institutional client and investing trends.
  • Goal-oriented and self-driven to meet ambitious targets in a fast-paced environment, as part of a high-performance, culturally diverse team.
  • High energy with a strong professional presence, combined with effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to influence, negotiate and steer conversations with internal and external stakeholders
