OCBC Group invites you to join the Global Markets Equities Derivatives internship for Jan–Jun 2027 in Singapore. You will support the Equities Trading Desk, analyze market trends, and help automate processes while learning how trading desks operate in a fast-paced environment.

We seek learners with strong analytical and programming skills (Python, VBA; C# a plus), good communication, and a passion for finance.

Responsibilities

• Trading Desk Support: assist the Equities Trading Desk in day-to-day activities and gain exposure to strategies used to generate trading performance across equity and equity derivatives products.
• Market & Trading Analysis: analyse market trends, trading activity, and performance drivers to support the desk's decision-making processes.
• Process Automation: identify opportunities to improve efficiency by automating business-as-usual processes using programming and analytical tools.
• Financial Model Enhancement: support the development, enhancement, and automation of financial models, research templates, and analytical frameworks.
• Trading Strategy Development: assist in researching, testing, and evaluating potential trading strategies using historical market data and quantitative techniques.
• Data Visualisation & Analytics: build dashboards and visualisation tools that provide insights into market performance, trading activity, and portfolio risks.
• Cross-Functional Exposure: collaborate with stakeholders across sales, trading, and business management teams to gain a holistic understanding of Global Markets operations.
• Research & Innovation: explore new technologies, analytical methods, and market opportunities that can support trading activities and business growth.
• Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on strategic initiatives, process improvement projects, and other assignments as required
