Job summary

OCBC Bank in Singapore is offering an Equities Derivatives Internship. You will work closely with traders and stakeholders to support trading activities, analyze market trends, and develop data-driven solutions using VBA and Python.

This internship provides hands-on experience in automation, financial modelling, dashboard development, and cross-functional collaboration across sales, trading, and business management teams within Global Markets.

Qualifications

• Pursuing postgraduate degree in a related field.
• Proficient in VBA and Python.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Experience handling large datasets and understanding statistics.

Responsibilities

• Trading Desk Support: assist the Equities Trading Desk in day-to-day activities and gain exposure to strategies used to generate trading performance across equity and equity derivatives products.
• Market & Trading Analysis: analyse market trends, trading activity, and performance drivers to support decision-making.
• Process Automation: identify opportunities to automate business processes using programming and analytics tools.
• Financial Model Enhancement: support development, enhancement, and automation of financial models and templates.
• Trading Strategy Development: assist in researching, testing, and evaluating trading strategies using historical data.
• Data Visualization & Analytics: build dashboards and visualization tools for market performance and risks.
• Cross-Functional Exposure: collaborate with sales, trading, and business management teams.
• Research & Innovation: explore new technologies and methods to support trading activities.
• Ad-hoc Projects: provide support on strategic initiatives and process improvements.
