Job summary

STMicroelectronics in Singapore seeks an Equipment engineer shift leader to drive equipment improvements, reduce maintenance costs per wafer, and boost yield and throughput. You will manage new equipment start-ups, liaise with vendors, and provide technical support to maintenance engineers and technicians.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 3–5 years of wet equipment experience, with strong analytical skills, ability to read electrical schematics, and familiarity with FMEA

Responsibilities

• Lead equipment improvement projects to reduce costs per wafer and improve yield and throughput.
• Manage new equipment start up and liaise with vendors for production acceptance.
• Provide technical support to Assistant Maintenance Engineers and Technicians.
• Establish CM and PM procedures for efficient maintenance.
• Train maintenance staff to enhance troubleshooting skills and equipment knowledge.
• Establish critical spares levels to support equipment recovery time.
• Generate downtime pareto reports and analyze chronic issues.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to meet targets.
