Job summary

CONTAINERS PRINTERS PTE LTD in Singapore is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee installation, servicing and preventive maintenance of offset printing and rotogravure machines, ensuring uptime and cost efficiency.

The role requires hands-on engineering experience, supervising a small team of electrical and mechanical technicians, and coordinating with contractors to sustain production quality and safety standards. Strong PLC troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering related discipline.
• 3 years working experience in engineering / manufacturing.
• Supervise and manage 6-8 electrical / mechanical technicians.
• Preferred at least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in manufacturing environment and PLC programming and trouble shooting.
• Good understanding of entire printing process is preferred.
• Skilled in troubleshooting and training colleagues.
• Ability to handle pressure well in a deadline driven environment; able to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Communication and Interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Handle installation, servicing and maintenance of offset printing and rotogravure machines.
• Attend to unplanned breakdowns, diagnose faults and eliminate repeating issues.
• Schedule and execute preventive and predictive maintenance and update records.
• Involve in the installation and commissioning process.
• Monitor and control maintenance tools, stores and plant equipment inventory to facilitate smooth production flow and controlling maintenance costs.
• Supervise in-house maintenance team and engineering services contractors.
• To setup and execute system to track machine efficiency / breakdown.
• Identify areas of improvements in the production workflow.
• Manage the process control systems and troubleshoot PLC and any other devices.
• Attend to any adhoc duties.
• Awareness of ISO 9001, ISO14001 and ISO 45001 management systems and policy, including the implications of nonconforming to the requirements and the assessment of occupational risks and hazards.
• Schedule regular communication with employees to discuss expectations and challenges and help to remove obstacles related to product safety and quality.
• Act on comments and suggestions from employees about product safety and quality seriously, and regularly encourage employees to offer ideas about improving product safety and quality.
• Allocate time for employees to receive product safety and quality training, as well as regular updates and refresher sessions.
