Job summary

NATSTEEL HOLDINGS PTE. LTD. is seeking a maintenance technician to oversee servicing and preventive maintenance of heavy machinery in our Singapore operations.

You will lead technicians, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety compliance across the site. The role requires hands-on PLC, hydraulic, pneumatic, and motor experience, with strong ability to interpret electrical schematics and blueprints. Qualifications

• 1–2 years of maintenance experience in heavy industries (e.g., manufacturing).
• Fresh graduates with electrical/mechanical engineering qualifications are encouraged to apply.
• Hands-on experience with PLC systems, AC/DC motors, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints.
• Experience in team and vendor coordination, ensuring smooth operations and maintenance support.
• Strong knowledge of safety compliance, including WSH regulations and LOTO procedures.
• Bilingual proficiency in English & Mandarin (written and spoken) for translating documents and liaising with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.
• Responsible, proactive and resourceful with strong problem-solving skills.
• Team player with excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring servicing and maintenance of machines are carried out effectively and as per plan.
• Lead a team of technicians to troubleshoot, analyze issues and resolve equipment breakdowns safely.
• Monitor spare parts consumption and replenish stocks by raising purchase requisitions.
• Promote safety in the work area and implement improvements to meet safety standards.
• Identify and support improvement projects such as 5S or machine upgrades for performance gains.
• Perform tasks related to maintenance as assigned.

Job description

• Ensuring that the servicing and maintaining of the machines through corrective and preventive maintenance are carried out effectively and as per plan
• Lead a team of technicians to troubleshoot, analyze issues, resolve equipment breakdown safely and identify the root cause to prevent recurrence
• Ensuring the in-stock parts quantity are sufficient and kept to ideal levels by monitoring spare parts consumption and replenishing stocks when low by raising purchase requisitions
• Sustaining and improving safety in the work area by ensuring the workplace and practices complies with safety requirements, while identifying and implementing safety improvements
• Identify, propose, implement, and/or support improvement projects such as 5S, installation of new machines, machines shifting, overhauling or upgrading for improved machine performance / ease of maintenance
• Perform task related to maintenance as assigned

Job Requirements
