Job summary

Vanguard International Semiconductor Singapore Pte. Ltd. seeks an experienced equipment maintenance lead to drive reliability, uptime and cost improvements in wafer fabrication. You will coordinate Preventive Maintenance programs, mentor technicians, and analyze process data to optimize machine performance.

The role requires hands-on knowledge of CVD/PVD equipment, strong analytical skills and the ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Wafer fabrication experience and handling Thin Film Equipment (CVD/PVD).
• Strong interpersonal, communication and written skills.
• High level of integrity with leadership attributes to lead and coach a team.
• Able to adapt in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Manage logistics for parts to prevent uptime losses due to equipment failure.
• Manage expenditure allocated for equipment maintenance without compromising quality.
• Plan and implement an effective Preventive Maintenance program on equipment.
• Coach and mentor subordinates and provide performance feedback.
• Document Corrective Action and Best Known Methods for ROI and learning.
• Participate in CIP programs to optimize equipment utilization and maintenance costs.
• Become the technical expert for the machine specialization.
• Monitor SPC charts and use JMP to analyze engineering experiments.
• Understand FMEA and generate analyses for new tools to identify risks.
• Coordinate new equipment start-ups from facilities hookup to production acceptance.

About the role

Own, maintain and improve quality, uptime and cost indices. Sustain equipment KPI and make continuous improvements to enhance performance. Monitor and control equipment performance indices, optimize PM procedures, and coordinate with process and manufacturing engineers to ensure work is carried out efficiently to meet module objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Document Corrective Action and Best Known Methods and share with all for maximum ROI and learning
• Participate in CIP programs to optimize equipment utilization and cost of maintenance
• Become the technical expert for the respective machine specialization
• Monitor and analyze SPC charts and use JMP to analyze engineering experiments
• Understand FMEA and generate FMEA analysis for new tools to identify weaknesses and derive top risk factors
• Coordinate new equipment start-up to support production, from facilities hookup, vendor startup, to acceptance of equipment for production

About you

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics or Microelectronics Engineering
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience
• Wafer fabrication experience and experience in handling Thin Film Equipment (CVD/PVD)
• Good team player with good interpersonal, communication and written skills
• Strong logical thinking capability and good analytical skill
• High level of integrity with strong leadership attributes to lead and coach a team
• Highly committed with good ownership and accountability
• Able to adapt in a fast pace environment and work under pressure
