ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore’s internal security and stability. For over 75 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. As an Enterprise Infrastructure Specialist, you will be part of a dynamic team to build and support optimized enterprise environments using the latest technological tools and methods. You will be involved in the conceptualization, strategizing, design and deployment of Cloud (Public / Private / Hybrid) solutions, PaaS and virtualization technologies. You will have opportunities to experience the full range of ICT transformation spectrum. In addition, you will participate in providing consultancy to projects involving new infrastructure implementation.

What you will be working on:

• Design and manage technically advanced enterprise infrastructure
• Evaluate new tools and deploy advanced strategies to achieve performance tuning and resiliency
• Orchestrate and automate operating system upgrades and changes
• Participate in problem solving on issues related to data centre and achieve timely resolutions
• Coordinate with various parties (e.g. departments and vendors) to integrate critical systems and projects

What we are looking for:

• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and able to solve or analyse problems in a systematic manner
• Able to work both independently and in a team
• Relevant work experience and/or knowledge in Data Centre technologies (e.g. Windows Server, SAN/NAS storage technologies, data backup strategies), cloud technologies (e.g. Microsoft, RedHat, VMware and Hyper V Virtualisation environments) would be advantageous
