Job summary

The Internal Security Department (ISD) is seeking a data centre operations professional to join its infrastructure team in Singapore. You will design and modernise data centre infrastructure, manage operations, capacity planning, and KPI assessment, and coordinate with stakeholders during incidents and projects.

Qualifications

• 2 years of working experience in data centre operation and/or facility management is advantageous

• Experience in ICT outsourcing, project management, vendor management and contract management
• Strong analytical and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Participate in designing and modernisation of data centre infrastructure
• Manage data centre operations, including formulation and assessment of KPIs and capacity planning
• Coordinate with stakeholders during incident response and remediation
• Manage data centre modernisation and technology upgrade projects
• Manage data centre maintenance contracts
• Provide technical consultancy to stakeholders regarding project onboarding
• Review and refine existing workflows as part of digital transformation in Data Centre operation
• Explore new technologies to improve operational efficiency and physical security of data centre

ISD confronts and addresses threats to Singapore’s internal security and stability. For over 70 years, ISD and its predecessor organisations have played a central role in countering threats such as those posed by foreign subversive elements, spies, racial and religious extremists, and terrorists. What you will be working on:

• Participate in designing and modernisation of data centre infrastructure;
• Manage data centre operations, which include formulation and assessment of KPIs, capacity planning, usage management etc;
• Coordinate with stakeholders during incident response and remediation of issues
• Manage data centre modernisation and technology upgrade projects;
• Manage data centre maintenance contracts;
• Provide technical consultancy to stakeholders regarding project on-boarding;
• Review and refine existing workflows as part of on-going digital transformation for Data Centre operation;
• Explore new technologies and solutions to improve operational efficiency and physical security of data centre.

What we are looking for:
