Job summary

The Salvation Army - Peacehaven Nursing Home in Singapore is seeking a dedicated Enrolled Nurse/Assistant to assist staff nurses in delivering high-quality resident care. You will support daily activities, monitor vital signs, and participate in rehabilitation tasks to promote residents' well-being.

Requirements include a Diploma in Nursing with SNB Enrolled Nurse registration, plus relevant eldercare or acute care exposure.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent with active SNB Enrolled Nurse registration.
• ITE/NITEC nursing certificate or equivalent. Prior eldercare experience preferred.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care including hygiene, mobility, feeding assistance.
• Monitor and record residents' vital signs accurately.

Job Description

• Assist Staff Nurses in planning and delivering resident care in line with current nursing standards.

• Provide basic nursing care, including personal hygiene, comfort measures, mobility support, and feeding assistance.

• Monitor and record residents' vital signs accurately.

• Support safe transfer and positioning of non-ambulant residents.

• Maintain clear and accurate documentation of all care provided.

• Assist in the admission and orientation of new residents.

• Carry out rehabilitation activities such as range-of-motion exercises and supervised walking.

• Participate in resident activities and therapy programs (e.g., kitchen tasks, gardening, laundry).

• Assist in serving oral medications under supervision.

• Safeguard residents' privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.

• Report any changes in residents' health status to the designated doctor or nurse in charge.

• Participate in team reviews and nursing meetings.

• Support the implementation of nursing home policies, procedures, and safe work practices.

• Attend ongoing education and in-service training to support professional development.

• Assist in monitoring and improving nursing practices as guided by senior nursing staff.

Qualifications & Job Requirements

• Diploma in Nursing or equivalent from a recognised institution.
• Valid practising license as an Enrolled Nurse with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• National Institute of Technical Education (ITE) Certificate in Nursing or its equivalent.
• Experience in eldercare, nursing home, or acute care settings is an advantage.
• Dynamic, motivated, and a strong team player.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willing to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
