Job summary

PRECIOUS HOMES PTE. LTD. is seeking a nursing professional to provide personalized care to residents in a nursing home. You will assist with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and support registered nurses in delivering care.

You will supervise Nursing Aides, assist with transfers, and coordinate with therapists to promote resident independence while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Possess NITEC in Nursing certificate or its equivalent.
• Hold a valid registration with Singapore Nursing Board (SNB).
• Possess good interpersonal skills and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care to residents in the nursing home.
• Assists the State Registered Nurse in the delivery of nursing care.
• Supervision of Nursing Aides (NA) and Healthcare Attendants (HCA).
• Supervision and assistance to the care team in proper transfer and lifting of residents.
• Assists residents in activities of daily living (ADL): personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, grooming, feeding.
• Promotes self‑care and independence; ensures residents feel well.
• Ensures good housekeeping standards in the facility.
• Carry out nursing rounds with the registered nurse.
• Ensure proper delivery of nursing procedures (dressings, eye drops, topical creams).
• Assist in administration of medications and tube‑feeding under supervision.
• Check, monitor and record vital signs (temp, pulse, resp, BP, apex beat).
• Maintain accurate documentation of care given.
• Coordinate with Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist for rehabilitative exercises.
• Guide Nursing Aides in observing and reporting condition changes to the RN.
• Participate in handling emergencies (even off-duty when necessary).
• Work as a team and respond to residents’ needs (call bells, comfort, rounds, turns, meals).
• Co‑ordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for a safe, clean environment.
• Be on rotating shift and on call as required.
• Any other duties as required by Supervisor.

Responsible to provide personalized and effective care to the residents in accordance to established nursing home policies and procedures, standards of care and practices.

• Provides basic nursing care to the residents in the nursing home


• Assists the State Registered Nurse in the delivery of nursing care such as:

1. supervision of Nursing Aides (NA) and Healthcare Attendants (HCA)


2. supervision and assistance to the rest of care team in the proper transfer/lifting of residents


3. assisting residents in their activities of daily living such as personal hygiene, toileting, bathing, grooming and feeding


4. promoting education of self-care and independence for residents, ensuring a sense of well-being


5. ensuring good standard of housekeeping

• Carry out nursing rounds with the registered nurse


• Ensure the proper delivery of nursing procedures such as dressings, instillation of eye drops, topical creams applications, etc


• Assist in the administration of medications and tube-feeding under the supervision of State Registered Nurse


• Checks, monitors and records residents’ vital signs such as temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure and apex beat


• Maintains accurate documentation of care given


• Jointly work with the Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist/Physio-Aide to provide rehabilitative exercises for the residents


• Guides the Nursing Aides in observing and recording of nursing care eg report any unusual observations and/or deterioration in resident’s physical condition to the Registered Nurse


• Participate in the handling of emergencies (even if off-duty where necessary)


• Work as a team and respond to residents’ needs which include:-

1. answering call bells


2. ensuring residents are comfortable, dry and clean at all times


3. doing rounds of the residents to check on their conditions


4. supervision and assistance in 2 hourly turning of total dependent residents


5. serving and feeding the residents their correct meals/feeds

• Keep updated on nursing care by reading, attending talks, seminars and lectures


• Co-ordinates with other departments such as housekeeping and maintenance to ensure a safe, clean and properly maintained environment


• To be on rotating shift and on call whenever necessary


• Any other duties as required by Supervisor

Job Requirement
