Job summary

The Salvation Army, Peacehaven Nursing Home in Singapore is seeking dedicated staff to support its Central Supply Store and transport duties for residents. You will help manage inventory, process orders, ensure FEFO/FIFO, and contribute to a safe, well-run facility.

You will also provide safe transportation for residents, work with the Medical Escort, and assist with logistics for donations and supplies. This role suits physically fit, customer‑oriented individuals who value teamwork and care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Central Supply Store: manage inventory, stock counts, replenishment, inspect and store goods, process requisitions, maintain records, ensure FEFO/FIFO, assist audits.
• Transport Duties (Backup Driver): provide safe transport for residents, work with Medical Escort, maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness, assist with donation logistics.

We offer a comprehensive gamut of services to care for the sick, frail and elderly who have physical or mental disabilities with minimal or no appropriate caregiver support at home.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Central Supply Store

• Manage inventory, stock counts, and stock replenishment.
• Receive, inspect, store goods and report discrepancies.
• Process stock requisitions and prepare items for distribution.
• Ensure accurate stock issuance and inventory records.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and FEFO/FIFO compliance.
• Assist with stocktaking and inventory audits.
• Maintain records of stock movements and inventory balances.
• File and manage delivery orders, invoices, and related documents.
• Support logistics and operational activities.
• Perform ad hoc duties and projects as assigned by the supervisor.

2. Transport Duties (Backup Driver)

• Provide safe, reliable, and timely transportation for residents and clients between their homes, medical appointments, and the centre.
• Work closely with the Medical Escort to ensure residents' and clients' safety, comfort, and well-being during transportation.
• Support operational needs by transporting staff to work-related appointments as required.
• Maintain the cleanliness, hygiene, and roadworthiness of vehicles, ensuring they are presentable and in good working condition.
• Assist in the collection, loading, and unloading of donated items and essential supplies.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Operations Manager or Senior / Operations Executive to support operational requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum Secondary School education or equivalent.
• Possession of valid Class 3 & Class 4 driving licenses and a Bus Vocational Driving License.
• Prior experience in customer service, driving, or healthcare operations is an advantage.
• Physically fit and willing to support caregiving duties when deployed to the Rehab Team.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Team player with a service-oriented attitude.
• Able to work independently and multitask in a dynamic environment.

Working Hours

Under normal circumstances the hours of duty will be as follows:

8.00am to 5.15pm (Monday - Friday, 45 minutes lunch break inclusive)

or

8.30am to 5.45pm (Monday- Friday, 45 minutes lunch break inclusive)
