Job summary

GovTech in Singapore is hiring an Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact engineering team delivering public-sector software with a product-company mindset. You will shape vision, strategy, and roadmaps, and partner with agencies to drive incremental delivery and robust infrastructure.

You will mentor engineers, advance security and reliability, and build enterprise architecture across 30+ systems with multiple vendors. This 2-year contract role emphasizes public service and innovation.

Qualifications

• Experience leading large-scale software systems in production.
• Strong full-stack capabilities with Next.js/React.js on frontend and Java/TypeScript on backend.
• Proven track record coaching developers and growing teams.
• Future-oriented security, reliability, and architecture practices.

Responsibilities

• Define team vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with GovTech goals.
• Partner with agencies to prioritise and manage product roadmaps.
• Develop long-term technical plans and update roadmaps for infra needs.
• Mentor engineers, provide feedback, and drive professional growth.
• Collaborate to improve quality, reliability, and security within the team.
• Lead enterprise architecture across 30+ systems and multiple vendors.
• Assist with senior-level recruitment when needed.
