Job summary

GovTech in Singapore is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead software squads, directing technical strategy and product delivery for public sector initiatives, including Generative AI enhancements.

You will define team vision, partner with stakeholders to prioritise roadmaps, and mentor engineers while driving reliability and security. The role emphasizes collaboration across product, UX, and operations in a mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building large-scale software systems.
• Experience with modern full-stack web technologies; Next.js/React and Java/TypeScript backend preferred.
• Strong technical leadership and ability to mentor teams.
• Proven Agile/Scrum implementation across multiple teams.
• Experience in production incident management and reliability practices.
• Excellent communication with product managers and UX designers.

Responsibilities

• Define engineering vision, strategy, and roadmaps for the team.
• Partner with stakeholders to prioritise product roadmaps and deliver incrementally.
• Develop long-term technical plans and update roadmaps for future needs.
• Mentor engineers, provide feedback, and support career growth.
