Job summary

GovTech invites an experienced Engineering Manager to lead a diverse team crafting digital systems for municipal services, public websites, and backend platforms. You will guide architecture, security, and delivery while collaborating with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to enable secure, scalable government services.

You will drive end-to-end delivery, mentor engineers, and ensure automated testing, observability, and high-quality code across multiple GovTech projects.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong full stack capability with at least one area of specialization (Backend or Frontend)
• Proven ability to build and own systems end-to-end (0–1 and beyond)
• Hands-on mindset, comfortable coding and debugging
• Familiar with cloud environments and modern DevOps practices
• Experience building containerised or monolithic systems

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of software engineers across design, delivery, and operations
• Own features end-to-end from backend APIs to frontend UX
• Drive system architecture and technical direction for scalable GovTech solutions
• Build robust integration layers between agencies and services
• Advance DevOps practices, CI/CD, observability, and secure deployments
