Job summary

SG It Consultancy & Services Pvt. Ltd. in Singapore seeks an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop and maintain software for NetZero products.

You will work with a focused team to select long-term embedded Linux solutions and integrate Home Assistant components for a Home EMS system. You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, ensure scalability for global markets, and stay ahead of industry trends in embedded Linux, cybersecurity, and edge AI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• 3 years of embedded software experience, preferably Linux-based.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Linux kernel development.
• Experience with Yocto/Buildroot and embedded Linux distributions.
• Familiarity with Home Assistant or similar open-source platforms.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity requirements and CE-RED directive.
• Understanding data protocols and wireless tech (Thread, Wi‑Fi 7, BLE).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software for NetZero products.
• Collaborate with a small team to deliver high-quality software on time.
• Choose and implement an embedded Linux distribution with long-term consistency.
• Develop a Home EMS system on a common Linux OS stack with open-source components.
• Ensure scalability of software for global markets, starting with Europe.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle: design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance.
• Stay updated with industry trends to drive innovation.
