Job summary
IT Consultancy & Services Pte Ltd is seeking an embedded software engineer to develop and maintain software for NetZero products. You will work with a focused team to deliver high‑quality solutions within timelines, selecting suitable embedded Linux distributions and integrating Home Assistant components for a Home EMS system.
You will contribute across the full software lifecycle, ensuring code is scalable for global markets with initial focus on Europe, and stay current with emerging
Qualifications
- 3 years of embedded software development experience, preferably with Linux
- Strong C/C++ programming skills
- Experience with embedded Linux distributions such as Yocto or Buildroot and kernel development
- Experience with Home Assistant or similar open‑source home automation platforms
- Familiarity with modern cybersecurity requirements and relevant design considerations
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain embedded software for NetZero products with reusable code across projects
- Collaborate with a small team to deliver high-quality software on schedule
- Identify and implement the best embedded Linux distribution for projects (Yocto/Buildroot)
- Develop a Home EMS system based on a common Linux stack using Home Assistant components
- Ensure software is scalable for global markets, starting with Europe
- Participate in full SDLC including design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance
- Stay updated with industry trends to drive continuous improvement and innovation
