Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, tendering and cost estimation in M&E or construction.
• LTA project experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore electrical standards, codes and tender specs.
• Experience preparing technical proposals, BOQs, cost estimates and tender documentation.
• Experience in supplier sourcing, cost analysis, price negotiations and value engineering.
• Strong stakeholder management and mentoring of engineering teams.

About the client

Our client is a well-established engineering contractor with over 40 years of experience in Singapore, delivering complex M&E, building services, and infrastructure projects across a diverse range of sectors.

The role

The Electrical Tendering Lead will lead the technical design, cost estimation, and tendering activities for the company's future projects while providing engineering support for ongoing works. The role is responsible for preparing competitive tender submissions, ensuring compliance with project specifications and engineering standards, driving cost optimisation initiatives, and leading the engineering team to support successful project delivery and business growth.

Salary: $6,000 - $8,500 + VB
Working hours: MON- FRI Office hours
HQ Location: Commonwealth, Singapore
Project Site location: Tengah, West Singapore

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical design and cost estimation for the company's future projects.

• Provide technical engineering support to ensure the successful execution of ongoing projects.

• Ensure engineering designs and tender submissions comply with project specifications, relevant standards, codes, and industry practices.

• Prepare accurate, competitive, and commercially viable tender submissions to secure new projects.

• Conduct cost analysis, supplier evaluations, market research, and price negotiations to optimise tender competitiveness.

• Build and maintain strong working relationships with consultants, architects, developers, building owners, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

• Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and project opportunities to support business growth and future project planning.

• Lead, mentor, and manage the engineering team while ensuring high technical standards and quality deliverables.
  

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma or certification in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

• At least 4–7 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, technical design, tendering, and cost estimation within the M&E or construction industry.

• Previous experience delivering LTA projects is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of Singapore electrical standards, engineering codes, and tender specifications.

• Proven experience preparing technical proposals, BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documentation.

• Experience in supplier sourcing, cost analysis, price negotiations, and value engineering.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience coordinating consultants, architects, developers, clients, suppliers, and contractors.

• Previous experience leading or mentoring engineering teams is preferred.

• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
