Job summary

HRLinked Asia Search & Consultancy Pte Ltd is seeking an Electrical/Mechatronics Engineer to design electrical control schematics for automated equipment and to develop 2D/3D layouts and BOMs. The role involves supporting manufacturing, on-site installation, and customer training.

The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics engineering and 2–3 years of industrial control design experience, with the flexibility to travel overseas on short notice.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronics engineering required.
• Preferably 2–3 years of experience in industrial control design; fresh local graduates welcome.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical control schematics drawings for automated equipment.
• Create 2D/3D electrical panel layouts, cable routing layouts, etc.
• Generate equipment Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Support manufacturing on machine wiring, power up, debug and setup.
• Support customer buy-off, site installation and training.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Create electrical control schematics drawings for automated equipment.
• Create 2D or 3D electrical panel layout, cable routing layout, etc.
• Generate equipment Bill of material.
• Supports manufacturing on machine wiring, power up, debug, setup, etc.
• Support customer buy-off, site installation and training.
• Writes equipment manuals, setup procedure and machine checklist.
• Communicate with customer on machine specifications, component selection, etc.
• Communicate with vendors to support procurement and to resolve component issues.
• Support in house component testing and evaluation.
• Support in house production team during machine replication.

Qualifications

• Degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronics Engineering.
• Preferably with 2 to 3 years relevant experience in industrial control design, however fresh local graduates are welcome.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of using AutoCAD or E3.
• Good working knowledge with of PC and PLC based control systems, servo/stepper controllers, sensors, etc.
• Ability to work independently in designing and liaising with customers on technical specifications and requirements.
• Participate in and effectively communicate in group discussions and meetings.
• Team player.
• Ability to travel overseas on short notice.
