Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Electrical and Control Engineer to design, wire, and commission the electrical hardware and control architectures for high-precision automated machinery. You will own the complete electrical lifecycle—from schematic capture and cabinet layout to power distribution, safety systems, and PLC/motion controller integration.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electrical System Design: Design comprehensive electrical schematics, power distribution layouts, and control panel layouts using industry-standard CAD tools (e.g., EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical).
  • Hardware Selection & Sourcing: Specify and select electrical and electromechanical components, including PLCs, PACs, motion controllers, servo/stepper drives, sensors, safety relays, and power supplies.
  • Safety System Integration: Design and implement hardware safety architectures (Emergency Stops, safety interlocks, light curtains) in compliance with relevant international standards (ISO 13849, IEC 60204).
  • PLC/Control Programming: Develop and test PLC, HMI, and motion control logic using IEC 61131-3 languages (Structured Text, Ladder Logic) or proprietary industrial programming platforms.
  • Wiring, Cabling & EMI Management: Design clean cable routing, shielding, and grounding strategies to minimize electromagnetic interference (EMI) and ensure signal integrity in sensitive high-precision equipment.
  • Commissioning & Troubleshooting: Lead hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, power‑up testing, I/O checkout, and on‑site machine debugging in collaboration with software and mechanical teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related discipline.
  • Experience: 3+ years of hands‑on experience in electrical design and control systems for industrial automation, semiconductor equipment, or high-precision machinery.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in electrical design software (EPLAN Electric P8 or AutoCAD Electrical).
  • Experience with major industrial automation platforms (e.g., Siemens, Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley, Beckhoff, Omron).
  • Strong working knowledge of industrial communication protocols (EtherCAT, Profinet, Ethernet/IP, CANopen).
  • Solid understanding of electrical codes, wiring standards, and machine safety compliance (CE, UL, NFPA 79).
  • Hands‑on experience with multimeters, oscilloscopes, and electrical panel assembly/wiring.
