Job summary

MX ENGINEERING PTE. LTD. is seeking a skilled Sales Engineer to develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers in the electrical and engineering sectors.

You will identify new business opportunities, understand customer requirements, and translate them into technical and commercial solutions. You will prepare quotations and proposals, follow opportunities from enquiry through negotiation to order, review tender documents, and coordinate with internal teams and

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Business, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or another relevant technical discipline.
• Basic understanding of electrical engineering concepts and equipment.
• Strong interest in sales, business development and customer engagement.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable communicating with customers, contractors, consultants and suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• Willingness to travel for customer meetings and site visits when required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.
• Identify new business opportunities within the electrical and engineering sectors.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into suitable technical and commercial solutions.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, technical submissions and commercial offers.
• Follow up on opportunities from initial enquiry through negotiation and order confirmation.
• Achieve agreed sales and business development objectives.
• Review project specifications, drawings, BOQs, tenders and customer requirements.
• Work with internal engineering teams and suppliers to develop technically compliant solutions.
• Participate in technical discussions with customers, consultants and contractors.
• Attend customer meetings, site visits, technical discussions and project meetings.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, procurement and operations teams to support smooth project execution.
• Review tender enquiries, coordinate supplier quotations and prepare competitive commercial submissions.
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotations, sales activities and customer information.
