is seeking a System/Platform Observability Engineer to be deployed to a government technology agency in Singapore. The role focuses on managing and scaling an Elastic SaaS-based observability platform to boost infrastructure resiliency, designing and deploying telemetry pipelines for logs, metrics, and traces using Elastic Stack and Logstash, emphasizing availability, security and self-service for operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
• 3+ years in enterprise-level infrastructure; 1+ year in monitoring/logging technologies.
• Hands-on ELK (Elasticsearch) and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
• Familiar with modern observability tools and frameworks.
• Strong monitoring and troubleshooting foundation.
• Knowledge in infrastructure monitoring and logging technologies.
• Working knowledge of programming and scripting languages.
• Working knowledge of infrastructure automation.
• Proficiency in Linux/Unix, scripting (Ruby, Shell, Painless).
• Strong problem-solving and proactive learning attitude.
• Excellent communication, documentation and teamwork; able to support 24/7 operations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the platform with monitoring, metrics, logging, and visualisation systems.
• Collaborate with vendors to design a platform with monitoring, metrics, logging, and AI/ML functionalities.
• Onboard existing infrastructure devices to the observability platform.
• Conceptualize anomaly detection, pattern analysis, self-healing, and outage prediction.
• Develop and maintain visualisations in observability tools for end users.
