EHS Safety & Compliance Leader

Job summary

BD seeks an EHS professional to support leadership in implementing safety, environmental, and compliance programs at Tuas Plant. You will collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, facilities and quality teams to identify hazards, assess risks and implement controls across routine and non-routine activities.

The role requires strong knowledge of Singapore WSH, incident investigation, ISO 14001/45001, and Fire Safety Manager certification.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in EHS, manufacturing, industrial operations, engineering, facilities, or related technical environment; medical device or high-volume manufacturing experience is preferred.
• Registered with the Ministry of Manpower as a Workplace Safety and Health Officer (WSHO).
• Must be a certified Fire Safety Manager (FSM) and able to support SCDF fire safety management requirements, fire safety planning, inspections, drills and emergency preparedness activities.
• Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems, internal audits, compliance reviews and corrective action tracking is preferred.
• Experience with security management, access control, contractor and visitor control, emergency response coordination or manufacturing-site security protocols is required or strongly preferred based on site scope.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support EHS leadership in Singapore plant safety and compliance programs.
• Collaborate with multiple functions to identify hazards, assess risks and implement controls.
• Maintain standard work for EHS processes to support consistency and audit readiness.
• Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses and internal audits across Tuas Plant operations.
• Lead investigations of incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions with root cause analysis.
