ENGIE Group seeks an experienced EHS professional to advise on-site teams on statutory duties under the WSH Act, identify workplace safety and environmental risks, and implement control measures. You will disseminate regulatory updates, conduct risk assessments, maintain documentation, and monitor EHS performance across ENGIE site operations.

You will also assist in emergency response rehearsals, audit site operations, qualify contractors, and organise EHS training and outreach activities.

Qualifications

  • Diploma in a technical field with at least 5 years of relevant EHS working experience.
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or MOM recognised equivalent.
  • Class 3 Driving License.
  • Ability to perform occasional night work.
  • Internal auditing skill on ISO.
  • Knowledge of fire safety and life-saving equipment.
  • Understanding of WSH legal requirements.
  • Ability to organize EHS-related training.
  • Record-keeping and documentation skills.
  • Facilitate permits and licenses as required.
  • Good time management and leadership qualities.
  • Pro-active, independent and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • High initiative and integrity.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Safety-minded with solid WSH behaviour.

Responsabilités

  • Advise on-site team to discharge statutory duties under the WSH Act and implement control measures.
  • Disseminate updates on WSH Act and environmental requirements to on-site team.
  • Conduct and review risk assessments and recommend safety measures and environmental actions.
  • Maintain EHS management documents and ensure enforcement.
  • Monitor and report EHS performance, investigations and reporting of incidents.
  • Assist Facilities & Ops Manager in rehearsing emergency response plans.
  • Conduct EHS audits and recommend continual improvements.
  • Qualify contractors and suppliers to comply with EHS standards.
  • Review and identify safety competency training for site staff.
  • Organise EHS outreach activities and ENGIE site staff programmes.
  • Handle ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Description du poste

  • Advise on-site team to discharge their statutory duties under the WSH Act. Assist the team in the identification of workplace safety and health and environmental risks and in recommending and implementation of the necessary control measures.
  • Disseminating and implementing updates to the onsite team on the WSH Act, environmental and other legal requirements.
  • Conducting and review risk assessments and aspect and impact analysis, the recommendation of safety measures, safe work procedures and environmental matters.
  • Maintaining EHS management system documents and ensuring enforcement.
  • Monitoring and reporting EHS performance on a regular basis, including timely incident investigations and reporting.
  • Assisting Facilities & Ops Manager in rehearsing emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Conducting environmental, health and safety audits for site operations and recommending continual improvements.
  • Qualifying contractors and suppliers in order to ensure that they comply with company's site environmental, health and safety standards and policies.
  • Reviewing and identifying safety competency training for site staff on safe work practices and procedures.
  • Organising EHS outreach activities and promotional programmes for ENGIE site staff.
  • Any other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma in a technical field with at least 5 years of relevant EHS working experience
  • WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (Level B) or equivalent qualification recognised by MOM
  • Class 3 Driving License
  • Ability to perform occasional night work
  • Possess internal auditing skill on ISO
  • Sufficient knowledge of fire safety, life-saving equipment & items
  • Detailed understanding and knowledge on WSH legal & other requirements
  • Able to organize and carry out EHS-related training
  • Able to establish and maintain a system of records and related documentation
  • Able to facilitate in obtaining all necessary permits and licenses
  • Good time management, leadership qualities and skills
  • Pro-active, independent, able to work with minimal supervision and perform under pressure
  • Possess a high level of initiative and integrity
  • Able to work Independently and possess good interpersonal skills
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Has a good safety mindset and displays good WSH behaviour.
