RECRUITMATIC PTE. LTD. is hiring for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer in Singapore's Jurong Island area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in mechanical engineering.
• Minimum 3 years mechanical maintenance experience in chemical/manufacturing plants.
• Experience with rotating and static equipment, plant shutdowns, turnarounds.
• Knowledge of mechanical integrity, RBI, condition monitoring, vibration analysis.
• Familiarity with SAP PM, GSAP, and CMMS/KMMS.
• Strong planning, communication, and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for plant equipment.

• Develop and optimize maintenance strategies and PM programs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot pumps, compressors, gearboxes, HVAC, and related systems.
• Support inspection and integrity programs for vessels, tanks, piping, and reactors.
• Coordinate shutdowns, turnarounds, and planning with resources and contractors.
• Support CAPEX projects, commissioning, startup, and safety reviews.
• Coordinate contractor and vendor activities to ensure safety, quality, timely completion.
• Promote HSE standards, PTW, LOTO, risk assessment, and incident investigations.
• Maintain spare parts inventory management within SAP/CMMS.
• Maintain maintenance procedures, documentation, and asset history.
• Provide guidance and development support to maintenance personnel.

Job description

My client is a big Chemical Manufacturer in Jurong Island.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for plant mechanical equipment.
• Maintain the reliability, availability, and performance of rotating and static equipment to support safe plant operations.
• Conduct equipment failure investigations and implement corrective actions to improve equipment performance.
• Develop and optimize maintenance strategies, preventive maintenance programs, and reliability improvement initiatives.
• Maintain and troubleshoot pumps, compressors, extruders, gearboxes, agitators, fans, blowers, vacuum systems, mechanical seals, couplings, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and HVAC equipment.
• Support inspection and integrity programs for pressure vessels, tanks, reactors, heat exchangers, columns, piping systems, relief devices, cooling towers, and structural assets.
• Participate in mechanical integrity, Fitness-for-Service (FFS), RBI, Safety Critical Element (SCE), and statutory inspection activities.
• Coordinate mechanical shutdown and turnaround planning and execution, including resource, material, and contractor requirements.
• Support CAPEX projects, plant modifications, commissioning, startup, performance testing, HAZOP, PSSR, and MOC activities.
• Coordinate and monitor contractor and vendor activities to support safety, quality, and timely completion of work.
• Promote compliance with HSE standards, PTW, LOTO, risk assessment, and incident investigation requirements.
• Support spare parts management, inventory optimization, maintenance budgeting, and asset data management within SAP/GSAP/CMMS.
• Maintain maintenance procedures, technical documentation, equipment history, and reliability reports.
• Provide technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and development support to maintenance personnel and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of mechanical maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical, polymer, or manufacturing plants.
• Experience with rotating and static equipment maintenance, plant shutdowns, turnarounds, commissioning, and reliability improvement programs.
• Knowledge of mechanical integrity, RBI, condition monitoring, vibration analysis, RCM, and RCFA.
• Familiarity with SAP PM, GSAP, CMMS/KMMS, contractor management, and turnaround planning.
• Strong problem-solving, planning, communication, teamwork, and safety awareness skills.
• Willing to work in plant environments, support shutdowns, commissioning activities, contractor supervision, and emergency call-outs.
