Job summary

GMP Technologies (S) Pte. Ltd. is seeking a seasoned E&I Engineer to lead maintenance of field instruments in a chemical processing plant.

You will investigate instrument faults, implement corrective and preventive actions, and collaborate with production teams and contractors to enhance equipment reliability. The role requires a degree in Electrical/Electronics/Instrumentation engineering and at least five years of relevant experience, with hands-on knowledge of DCS/PLC systems and SOP

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation engineering or the equivalent.
• Min 5 years of experience as E&I Engineer in chemical plant, with specialisation in instrumentation.
• Basic understanding of maintenance technology, equipment, instruments, electrical and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day maintenance services of field instruments in the process plant.
• Lead investigations and troubleshoot instrument faults or failures and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Analyse and improve equipment reliability with production and contractors to prevent recurrence.
• Develop, revise and review SOPs for maintenance/inspection of plant instrumentation equipment (e.g., LT, TT, PT, CV, valves, FT, Analyser, GC).
• Manage in-house contractors to execute maintenance timely and effectively.

• Lead in the investigation/trouble-shoot of instrument fault or failure and provide effective and viable corrective and preventive action.
• Analyse and improve equipment reliability of plant to prevent recurrence with production group and contractors.
• Good knowledge and hands‑on experience with DCS and PLC system.
• Develop, revise and review of SOPs for maintenance/inspection of plant instrumentation equipment (eg. LT, TT, PT, CV, on/off valve, FT, Analyser, GC etc.).
• Manage in-house contractors to execute maintenance timely and effectively.
• Manage inventory control, quality of in-house contractor and vendor work.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation engineering or the equivalent.
• Min 5 years of experience as E&I Engineer in chemical plant, with specialised in instrumentation.
• Basic understanding of maintenance technology, equipment, instruments, electrical and manufacturing process.
