We are seeking a responsible and hands-on Duty Manager to support the daily operations of our boutique hotel. The Duty Manager will work closely with our experienced team and act as the main point of contact for operational matters, guest escalations and incidents during the assigned shift. This is a highly operational role suited to someone who is comfortable working independently, making sound decisions and assisting across different areas of Front Office operations.
Oversee the smooth running of Front Office operations during the assigned shift.
Work alongside the front office team to ensure smooth check-ins, check-outs and guest experiences.
Review arrivals, departures, room assignments, special requests and outstanding matters.
Attend to guest enquiries, requests, complaints and service-recovery cases professionally.
Act as the point of escalation for difficult guest situations and operational issues.
Make appropriate decisions when senior management is unavailable.
Coordinate with Housekeeping on room readiness, priority rooms and room-condition issues.
Conduct room inspections when necessary and follow up on cleanliness or maintenance concerns.
Assist with reservations, booking amendments, room assignments and guest profile updates.
Monitor OTA reservations, guest messages and special requests.
Diploma or equivalent qualification in Hospitality, Tourism or a related field is preferred.
At least 2–3 years of Front Office or Guest Relations experience in a hotel.
Experience as a Senior Guest Relations Executive, Guest Relations Manager, Duty Manager or in a similar capacity will be an advantage.
Able to work independently and take responsibility for operational matters during the shift.
Strong guest-service, communication and problem-solving skills.
Able to remain calm and professional when handling complaints, incidents or emergencies.
Good knowledge of hotel Front Office procedures and property-management systems.
Comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced boutique-hotel environment.
Able to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
Must be eligible to work in Singapore.
