Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. in Singapore seeks a Distinguish Member of Technical Staff to drive advanced process solutions for next-generation 3D NAND yield and quality. You will own modules, define specs, set strategic direction, and solve issues with model-based methods.

You will lead experiments, collaborate with process engineers, and transfer innovations from R&D to production while integrating AI-assisted tools to improve efficiency and outcomes.

Qualifications

• PhD ≥15 yrs, or Master’s ≥17 yrs in Electrical Engineering or related field with semiconductor industry experience.
• Proficiency in scripting/programming/BI tools, such as Python, SolidWorks, Tableau, Power BI is desirable.
• Ability to develop a strong comprehensive end-to-end understanding of PI modules on new NAND technologies and related structural & electrical fail mechanisms.
• Experience in R&D and technology transfer within Semiconductor industry.
• Committed to quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Lead one or more process modules related to development and operation of a 3D NAND semiconductor IC.
• Define structural specifications and process requirements for assigned modules.
• Set a clear direction and vision for the module with continual improvement plans.
• Proactively identify and address structure, electrical and reliability issues with process control.
• Focus on structural development, electrical performance, parametric verification, and manufacturability.
• Analyze materials and drive material changes from research into production.
• Design and implement device and process experiments; extract and interpret data with statistical significance.
• Provide team leadership in module development and coordinate a diverse team of engineers.
• Make key decisions for the team and set clear goals and metrics for success.
• Innovate to address complex problems and pursue IP generation; consider new technologies.
• Coordinate reticle tapeouts, flow/traveler changes, lot management across teams.
• Support technology transfer from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
• Communicate key information and drive decisions via presentations and group discussions.
• Continual development of technical and management skills through on-job training.
