Job summary

SSG SkillsFuture Singapore is seeking a senior public-sector strategist to lead the Strategic Planning Division and shape SWDA's strategic direction across SWDA, MOM and Singapore's jobs-and-skills ecosystem. You will drive strategic direction, inform policies and programmes, monitor future trends, and develop cross-cluster strategies to ensure policy coherence across agencies.

You will engage senior leaders, synthesize complex workforce and policy issues, and guide cross-divisional initiatives

Qualifications

• 8+ years public sector experience with team leadership.
• Ability to synthesize complex economic, workforce and policy issues into clear recommendations.
• Systems thinking to map interdependencies and broader implications of policy decisions.
• Understanding of labour market, workforce development and employment policies within government.
• Ability to translate strategy into policy design and operational realities.
• Familiarity with strategic foresight, data analytics and AI applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Strategic Planning Division to shape SWDA's strategic direction and policy positions across SWDA, MOM and Singapore's jobs-and-skills ecosystem.
• Drive strategic direction, inform policies, programmes and initiatives across business groups, monitor future trends and develop cross-cluster strategies.
• Synthesize cross-divisional initiatives into coherent strategies and audience-specific narratives.
• Represent and advance SWDA's strategic positions in forums and engagements with MOM and ministries.
• Policy and programme development and review; balance priorities, feasibility and fiscal sustainability.
• Coordinate Budget/COS speeches, PQs, Cabinet memos and management reports; set up processes and SOPs for key forums.
