Job summary

Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) invites an experienced Manager - Operational Policy in Singapore. You will lead the Operational Policy team and work with the Director General to ensure policy coherence and efficiency across investment operations.

You will provide technical leadership on policy development, oversee policy reviews, and guide a multidisciplinary team of policy professionals. The role requires strong English, strategic thinking and stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

Minimum 15 years of professional experience, preferably in multilateral development banks, international financial institutions or comparable organizations.
Master's degree in law, finance, economics, development studies, business administration or related fields.
Substantial experience in developing, reviewing, interpreting or implementing operational policies.

Responsibilities

Provide technical leadership on operational policy development, updates, interpretations and applications.
Lead and oversee the development, review and updating of AIIB's operational policies, directives, instructions/guidance and operational processes.
Ensure the Bank's operational policy framework remains coherent, relevant and aligned with the Bank's strategy and evolving business needs.
Advise Management and operational teams on the interpretation and application of operational policies.
Identify emerging policy issues, implementation challenges and operational risks, and recommend appropriate solutions.
Lead policy compliance across the project cycle, including reviews of operational strategies, programs and selected investment operations.
Lead the development of operational policy guidance, tools, templates, training materials and knowledge sharing to strengthen understanding of policies and processes.
Lead and develop a high-performing team of policy professionals.
Set priorities, manage work programs and allocate resources to ensure timely and high-quality outputs.
Recruit, mentor and evaluate staff, fostering a collaborative, inclusive and results-oriented environment.
Manage the team's budget and resources in line with Bank policies.
Build effective partnerships with operational and corporate departments to facilitate policy development and implementation.
Lead consultations on policy proposals and reforms and present recommendations to Management and committees.
