Job summary

The Japan Research Institute, Limited (Singapore Branch) is seeking an AI Governance & Operations Manager to establish and operate the AI governance framework across SMBC Asia Pacific. You will ensure AI solutions are introduced and managed responsibly, securely, and in line with regulatory, risk, data privacy, security, and technology requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
• 10+ years in governance, risk, or related technology control roles, preferably in banking/FS.
• Experience establishing or operating governance frameworks and audits.
• Familiarity with AI governance, Responsible AI, and data privacy.
• Strong cross-functional stakeholder management and executive communication.
• Knowledge of enterprise AI platforms and governance tooling is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Establish and operate the AI governance framework across APAC.
• Coordinate AI use-case intake, reviews, approvals, and lifecycle governance.
• Embed Responsible AI principles and manage risk assessments and mitigations.
• Oversee platform governance for Copilot Studio, Foundry, Power Platform, and more.
• Lead governance forums, reporting dashboards, and audit readiness activities.
• Deliver training and playbooks to enable compliant, value-driven AI delivery.
