Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager by planning, organizing, and directing hotel operations; assume full responsibility in GM's absence.
• Lead pre-opening activities: mobilize teams, ensure readiness, implement SOPs, set service standards, coordinate departments.
• Oversee Rooms, F&B, and all departments to anticipate guest issues and deliver exceptional service at every touchpoint.
• Support budgeting and forecasting; analyze P&L monthly and optimize revenue while controlling costs within budget.
• Ensure compliance with corporate audits, brand standards, local health and safety laws, and regulations.
• Conduct daily briefings with the operations team; report critical matters to GM and Executive Committee.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop operations management; manage performance and identify high-potential staff.
• Maintain positive owner relations; communicate with Owner's representative and inform GM.

What You'll Do

• Assist the General Manager by planning, organizing, and directing overall hotel operations, and assume full responsibility in the General Manager's absence
• Lead operational pre-opening activities, including mobilizing teams, ensuring operational readiness, implementing SOPs, preparing service standards, and coordinating cross-functional departments
• Oversee Rooms, Food & Beverage, and all operating departments to anticipate guest issues and drive exceptional service delivery at every guest touchpoint
• Support annual budgeting and forecasting for operating departments, analyze monthly P&L against business goals, and optimize revenue and profit while controlling costs within budget
• Ensure compliance with corporate audits, brand standards, local health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
• Conduct daily briefings with the operations team and communicate critical matters to the General Manager and Executive Committee
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop the operations management team, manage performance, and identify high-potential colleagues
• Maintain positive owner relations through effective communication with the Owner's representative and keep the General Manager informed

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of operational management experience with a strong Rooms and/or Food & Beverage background, or at least 2 years in a similar role within international hospitality brands

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Pre-opening hotel experience
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, profit performance, and productivity for operating departments
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to effectively lead both expatriate and local colleagues
• Passion for guest service, quality, and operational excellence
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
• Previous leadership experience within Singapore hospitality
