Job summary

Avani Singapore is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director of Sales to lead the hotel's sales strategy through pre-opening and beyond. You will drive revenue growth, build strong business partnerships, and position Avani Singapore as a preferred destination across key market segments.

As a key member of the leadership team, you will oversee pre-opening activities, recruit and mentor a high-performing sales team, and collaborate with Revenue, Marketing and Operations to maximise

Qualifications

• Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior sales leadership role within hospitality.
• Proven track record of driving hotel revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
• Strong knowledge of Singapore hospitality market and demand drivers.

Responsibilities

• Lead all pre-opening sales activities and build the business pipeline.
• Develop and execute the hotel's overall sales strategy to drive revenue.
• Lead sales across Corporate, MICE, Leisure, and other segments.
• Build relationships with corporate accounts, partners, planners, and stakeholders.
• Partner with Revenue, Marketing and Ops to maximise performance.
• Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and reporting.
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing sales team.
• Represent the hotel at events and client meetings to enhance brand visibility.

What You'll Do

• Lead all sales pre-opening activities, including account acquisition, market positioning, sales strategy development, team mobilization, and business pipeline generation
• Develop and execute the hotel's overall sales strategy to drive revenue growth and market share
• Lead sales activities across Corporate, MICE, Leisure, Consortia, and other key market segments
• Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate accounts, travel partners, event planners, and strategic stakeholders
• Partner closely with Revenue Management, Marketing, and Operations to maximise commercial performance
• Manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance reporting to support business objectives
• Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing Sales team
• Represent the hotel at industry events, client meetings, and networking opportunities to enhance brand visibility and business opportunities

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior sales leadership role within hospitality
• Proven track record of driving hotel revenue growth and achieving sales targets
• Strong understanding of Corporate, MICE, Leisure, and associated revenue segments
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, relationship-building, and business development skills
• Pre-opening hotel experience is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of the Singapore hospitality market and key demand drivers
• Established network of corporate, MICE, and travel industry contacts within Singapore would be advantageous
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability
• Fluent in English
