Job summary

NLCS (Singapore) seeks a Director of Innovation to lead the school’s learning innovation, technology integration and digital capability development. The role focuses on using technology deliberately to enhance learning, not replace it, and to limit screen time while building AI and information literacy.

The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on coaching, helping teachers improve practice and ensuring thoughtful, evidence-based use of emerging technologies.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with classroom experience.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or developing colleagues.
• Experience using educational technology purposefully in teaching and learning.
• Strong understanding of digital citizenship and AI opportunities/risks.
• Experience leading change and school-wide improvement.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Curiosity, judgement, and practical collaboration with teachers.

Responsibilities

• Lead NLCS (Singapore)'s strategy for learning innovation, educational technology and digital capability across the school.
• Balance high-impact technology use with core learning methods and Joyful Scholarship.
• Coach staff, build confidence, and develop a coherent progression of student digital skills.
