Job summary

World Metal Recovery Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a senior Business Development professional to drive government accounts, lead BD teams, and deliver strategic proposals. You will assess client needs, align with delivery, and push for upsell opportunities across a broad portfolio of IoT, smart building and sustainability initiatives.

The role requires extensive government sector experience, strong presentation skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in engineering/tech/compsci or equivalent required.
• At least 15 years of relevant sales experience in government/government-aligned accounts.
• Experience in managing Key Accounts including Education/Utilities/Statutory Boards.
• Familiarity with government procurement processes (GreenLane, Bulk tender, GEBIZ).
• Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare presentations and proposals for clients.
• Qualify and assess leads; understand goals and platform requirements.
• Liaise with clients and delivery teams to align on scope of work.
• Follow up with clients to understand needs and adapt approach.
• Upsell and cross-sell services through client relationships.
• Maintain Salesforce CRM and ensure leads are registered correctly.
• Lead and mentor business development representatives.
• Create content for case studies, website posts, webinars, and white papers.
• Develop outbound campaigns with leadership; LinkedIn messaging and scripts.
• Support marketing initiatives and present value messaging with a solutions-selling mindset.
• Respond to tenders and lead pursuit strategy; map stakeholders across client orgs.
• Establish deep client understanding across stakeholders; build trusted advisory relationships.
• Define goals and deliverables with budgets for opportunities; refine accounts management processes.
