Job summary

GetGo Technologies, a Singapore-based mobility tech company, seeks an accomplished Director of Engineering to lead its engineering organisation across mobile, web, backend, quality, and platform teams. You will shape the 12-month roadmap, drive performance and quality, and enable scalable growth while partnering with Product, Design, Data, and Operations.

The role requires 10+ years in software engineering with at least 5 years in leadership, plus a track record of transforming delivery,

Qualifications

• Experienced Engineering leader: 10+ years in software engineering, including at least five years in Engineering leadership.
• Proven transformation experience: improving delivery performance, quality, architecture, or cost with measurable results.
• Strong operating and commercial judgement balancing roadmap, investment, reliability, talent, and cost.
• Deep architectural judgement across modern app, service, cloud, testing, and platform architectures.
• Applied AI competence: applying AI and automation across engineering processes.
• Experience in operationally complex technology environments; mobility/logistics/fintech experience is advantageous.
• Excellent communication and influence across leaders with different objectives.
• Low-ego builders of leaders and teams; committed to developing people and organizational capability.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the Engineering strategy and a 12-month roadmap across delivery, architecture, quality, and platform evolution.
• Own Engineering performance, capacity planning, delivery practices, and health metrics.
• Build a high-performing Engineering organisation with cross-functional, end-to-end ownership.
• Guide evolution of technology architecture and investments to balance near-term delivery with debt remediation.
• Elevate quality, reliability, and operational resilience across the SDLC.
• Manage engineering investment and cost efficiency, aligning teams, platforms, and vendors.
• Make AI a systemic capability across planning, development, testing, review, and operations.
• Lead as a cross-functional partner with Product, Design, Data, and Operations.
