Job summary

OCBC Group is seeking an Associate to support the risk, compliance, and governance framework within OCBC Global Financial Institutions (GFI) in Singapore. You will assist with operational risk management, regulatory compliance, data governance, BCM, and reporting activities, collaborating with audit, ORM, and business teams to strengthen controls and processes.

The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proactive learning in a dynamic financial services environment.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• 1–2 years of experience in Compliance, Operational Risk, Governance, Audit, AML/KYC, Relationship Management Support, or Financial Services industry would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform under tight timelines while maintaining accuracy.
• Proactive and self-motivated team player with ownership and willingness to learn.
• Solid understanding of risk management, compliance, governance and internal controls.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with MAS regulatory guidelines would be advantageous.
• Experience in data analysis, reporting tools, or process improvement initiatives would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Validate operational and regulatory risks documented in the RCSA for new and existing processes.
• Monitor key controls to mitigate operational and regulatory risks.
• Identify control gaps and track corrective actions for timely remediation.
• Coordinate with Internal Audit, External Audit, ORM, RCU and other second-line functions.
• Support maintenance of policies, risk registers, and governance documentation.
• Assist in BCM plan implementation and maintenance for resilience.
• Conduct data governance activities and monitor data quality metrics.
• Support risk awareness programs and training for staff.
• Prepare and maintain risk, compliance, and governance reports and dashboards.
