Job summary

BIT is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to design and implement automated deployment solutions, optimize VM deployments on VMware, and monitor system health. The role requires hands-on DevOps experience, Linux and VMware expertise, and strong Mandarin communication with stakeholders across the group.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years in infrastructure engineering, proficiency with Kubernetes, AWS, Prometheus/ELK, and IaC tools like Terraform or Ansible. A fintech or crypto background is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years hands-on DevOps/infrastructure engineering experience.
• Experience with Linux (Ubuntu, CentOS), virtualization (Oracle, VMware), MySQL, Prometheus/ELK, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated deployment solutions to reduce manual processes and boost developer productivity.
• Configure system, storage and networking parameters for VM deployments on VMware.
• Monitor system stability and performance post-deployment and address issues proactively.
• Handle incident resolution and project tasks related to server deployments.
• Apply security best practices in server installation, configuration and administration.

• Design and implement automated deployment solutions that eliminate manual processes, improve developer productivity, and enable engineering teams to deliver software faster and more safely.
• Configure system, storage and networking parameters for virtual machine deployments on the VMware platform.
• Monitor system stability and performance after deployment, and proactively identify and address potential issues.
• Handle incident resolution and project-based tasks related to server deployments.
• Apply security best practices in server installation, configuration and administration to protect custody infrastructure.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or similar infrastructure engineering role.
• Experience in Linux (Ubuntu & CentOS), virtualization technologies (Oracle & Vmware),database management (MySQL), monitoring/operational intelligence products (Prometheus, ELK) and best security practices for server installation and administration.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the self-motivation to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin, as this role requires regular liaison with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders across the Group.

Preferred:

• Experience in the fintech or financial services industry.
• Interest in or knowledge of cryptocurrency, blockchain and digital asset custody.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
