Job summary

BIT (formerly Matrixport) is hiring a DevOps/Infrastructure Engineer in Singapore to design automated deployment solutions, configure VMware deployments, and monitor system performance. The role requires 1–3 years of infra experience, Linux, virtualization, Kubernetes, and cloud expertise, plus Mandarin communication with stakeholders globally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 1–3 years hands-on DevOps or infra engineering experience.
• Experience in Linux (Ubuntu/CentOS), virtualization (VMware), MySQL, monitoring with Prometheus/ELK, and security best practices for servers.
• Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated deployment solutions to eliminate manual processes and boost developer productivity.
• Configure system, storage and networking parameters for VMware-based deployments.
• Monitor system stability and performance after deployment and proactively address issues.
• Handle incident resolution and project tasks related to server deployments.
• Apply security best practices in server installation, configuration, and administration.
