Job summary

Neste is seeking a Development Engineer to join the Asset Development team within the Technical Department in Singapore. You will lead the development of investment projects for refinery CAPEX, collaborating with site and global teams to turn ideas into executable concepts.

The role covers responsibilities from concept through pre-studies and feasibility to execution, with lifecycle accountability including pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years’ experience in operations and capital investment projects in oil refining or petrochemicals.
• Strong leadership, communication, EQ, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead early phases of refinery CAPEX projects, with technical and business evaluations; define investment concepts.
• Oversee pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up planning; ensure smooth transition to operation.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in asset development and investment processes.
