Job summary

Neste (NESTE, Nasdaq Helsinki) is the world’s leading producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel. The Senior Instrument Engineer will join the Singapore Tuas Refinery’s Asset Management team to enhance instrument reliability, participate in design and TA activities, and ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

• 10–15 years of instrumentation engineering experience
• Design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of instruments, control valves, analysers
• Experience in plant turnaround (TA) projects, capital projects and BAU support
• Familiarity with asset management, reliability engineering, and lifecycle planning of instrumentation systems
• Hands-on experience with DCS, PLC, SCADA and instrument loop tuning
• Knowledge of ISA, API, IEC and ISO instrumentation standards
• Experience in maintenance work control, planning and reliability methodologies
• Strong communication and strategic thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Lead instrumentation design, specification and selection of field instruments, control valves and related systems
• Oversee maintenance strategy and lifecycle management of instrumentation and control systems
• Act as SME for instrumentation in projects, modifications and turnarounds
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and schedule requirements in instrumentation work
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring and coaching to engineers and maintenance staff
• Drive continuous improvement and digitalization of instrumentation practices
