Job summary

Hor Kew Private Limited is seeking a Design Team Lead in Civil Engineering to manage and guide the design group, ensuring accurate shop drawings and timely coordination with project coordinators for PE stamping.

The role requires strong experience in Tekla, AutoCAD and related tools, with a preference for precast industry exposure. English proficiency and a 3–5 year track record are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering.
• English language required.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Full-time position.
• Experience with Tekla, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, ZWCAD.
• Precast industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design team; allocate work and provide guidance.

• Analyse the team's accuracy and efficiency; feedback to management.
• Mentor and guide junior staff or colleagues.
• Handle additional tasks and duties assigned by management or the direct supervisor.

• To improve productivity and accuracy of the design team

• To provide design support to the Production and Sales Department.

• To ensure all shop drawings are accurate and provided to the respective departments.

• To coordinate with Project Coordinator to stamp drawings with PE and monitor the approval of shop drawing.

• To discuss with consultants and authorities on any discrepancies and detail changes.

• To attend site meeting on technical matters with design engineer and/or with Sales staff when required.

• To enhance the team's technical capabilities and develop solutions to technical and design challenges in accordance with singapore's standards.

• Analyse the team's accuracy and efficiency and actively feedback to management.

• Mentor and guide junior staff or colleagues.

• Handle any additional tasks and duties assigned by management or the direct supervisor.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Civil Engineering

• Required language(s): English

• At least 3-5 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
