Job summary

A1 Main Contractor in Singapore is seeking an experienced Civil/Structural Design Engineer to join the project team. You will manage and coordinate design works for building, industrial and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with Singapore standards.

You should have a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of RC and steel structures, foundations and detailing.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Civil & Structural design or engineering.
• Experience in building, industrial, commercial or infrastructure projects will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Civil & Structural design works for building and industrial projects.
• Review structural designs, drawings, calculations and submissions for compliance with project requirements and Singapore standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, M&E consultants, process engineers, QS, subcontractors and project teams.
• Review RC, steel, precast, foundation, piling, substructure and superstructure works.
• Review shop drawings, method statements and technical submissions.
• Identify and resolve design, coordination and site-related technical issues.
• Prepare and coordinate tender packages and technical documentation.
• Liaise with consultants and authorities on Civil & Structural submissions and approvals.
• Support Project Managers in delivering projects to programme, quality and technical requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and provide practical engineering solutions during construction.

• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong technical, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Salary : up to S$8,500 / Negotiable + VB (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications).
