Job summary

A Singapore-based design-and-build company is seeking a Structural Engineer to support structural engineering, design coordination and construction activities across projects.

The role involves reviewing drawings and calculations, coordinating with consultants, and providing technical support for RC and steel structures on industrial, commercial and building projects. Strong communication and familiarity with local codes are required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in structural engineering and design-build projects.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures; detailing.
• Familiarity with Singapore codes and statutory requirements.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; ETABS/SAP2000/SAFE advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, calculations, specs and submissions.
• Coordinate with consultants, architects and M/E teams.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, RFIs.
• Provide support for RC, steel, foundations.
• Conduct site inspections and resolve issues.
• Coordinate with architectural, civil and M/E disciplines.

• Assist Project Manager to meet schedules and budgets.

Job description

Our client is an established design-and-build company in Singapore with a portfolio of industrial, commercial and building projects. They are seeking a Structural Engineer to support structural engineering, design coordination and construction activities across their projects.

Responsibilities

• Review structural drawings, design calculations, specifications and technical submissions.
• Coordinate structural design and construction requirements with structural consultants, architects, M&E consultants and project teams.
• Review shop drawings, method statements, material submissions and requests for information (RFIs).
• Provide technical support for reinforced concrete (RC), steel structures, foundations and other structural elements.
• Conduct site inspections and assist in resolving structural design and construction issues.
• Coordinate structural works with architectural, civil and M&E disciplines.
• Liaise with consultants and relevant authorities on design submissions and technical matters.
• Review design changes, site discrepancies and as-built documentation.
• Support the Project Manager in meeting project schedules, quality standards and cost objectives.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Relevant experience in structural engineering, building construction or design-and-build projects.
• Knowledge of reinforced concrete and steel structures, structural detailing and construction methods.
• Familiarity with Singapore building codes and statutory requirements.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with ETABS, SAP2000 or SAFE will be advantageous.
• Strong technical, communication and coordination skills.
• Experience in industrial, commercial, warehouse or large-scale building projects will be an advantage.

• Working hours: 5.5 Days
• Salary: up to S$6,000, AWS and VB(Salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications)
