Job summary

A1 Main Contractor in Singapore is seeking experienced Civil & Structural Design Engineers to join their project team. You will manage and coordinate design works for building and industrial projects, review submissions, and liaise with architects, consultants and authorities.

Candidates should have a degree in Civil/Structural Engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, with strong knowledge of RC/steel structures, precast and foundations, and familiarity with Singapore standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Experience on building, industrial, commercial or infrastructure projects.
• Knowledge of Singapore codes and authority submissions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate Civil & Structural design works for building and industrial projects.

• Prepare and coordinate tender packages and technical documentation.
• Liaise with consultants and authorities on submissions and approvals.
• Support Project Managers to meet programme, quality and technical requirements.
• Conduct site inspections and provide practical engineering solutions during construction.

• Manage and coordinate Civil & Structural design works for building and industrial projects.
• Review structural designs, drawings, calculations and technical submissions to ensure compliance with project requirements and Singapore standards.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, M&E consultants, process engineers, QS, subcontractors and project teams.
• Review and coordinate RC, steel, precast, foundation, piling, substructure and superstructure works.
• Review shop drawings, method statements and technical submissions.
• Identify and resolve design, coordination and site-related technical issues.
• Prepare and coordinate tender packages and technical documentation.
• Liaise with consultants and relevant authorities on Civil & Structural submissions and approvals.
• Support Project Managers in ensuring projects are delivered according to programme, quality and technical requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Civil & Structural design or engineering.
• Experience in building, industrial, commercial or infrastructure projects will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of RC and steel structures, foundations and structural detailing.
• Experience with precast structures, long-span structures or industrial buildings will be advantageous.
• Familiar with Singapore codes, standards and authority submission requirements.
• Experience coordinating with consultants, contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong technical, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Salary : up to S$8,500 / Negotiable + VB (salary will commensurate according to experience & qualifications).
