Job summary

CROWN WORLDWIDE PTE LTD is seeking a Design Drafter in Singapore to translate design concepts and space plans into accurate drawings for project coordination and construction.

You will focus on drawing accuracy, documentation, technical detailing and maintaining up-to-date drawing sets throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with Workplace Designers to develop drawing packages and support presentations and submissions.

Qualifications

• Diploma or relevant qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting or a related discipline.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit or other design software would be advantageous.
• Good understanding of interior construction drawings and detailing.
• Able to read and interpret architectural and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
• Able to manage drawing revisions and multiple project deadlines.
• Experience in commercial interiors, workplace design or design-and-build projects would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Technical Drawings & Documentation
• Prepare detailed 2D CAD drawings based on concepts and layouts provided by the design team.
• Produce and update floor plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans and construction details.
• Prepare furniture layouts, partition plans, finishes plans and other project drawings as required.
• Convert sketches, design mark-ups and design intent into accurate technical drawings.
• Ensure drawings follow established drawing standards, templates and naming conventions.
• Design Team Support
• Work closely with Workplace Designers and Senior Workplace Designers to develop drawing packages.
• Incorporate design changes and mark-ups accurately and promptly.
• Assist designers in developing technical details required to translate the design into buildable documentation.
• Support preparation of drawings for presentations, submissions, tender and construction.
• Project Coordination
• Coordinate drawings with relevant project disciplines such as M&E, contractors, vendors and suppliers.
• Identify discrepancies or clashes in drawings and highlight them to the designer or project team.
• Maintain accurate drawing revisions and ensure the latest versions are issued to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with as-built drawings and final project documentation.
