Job summary

MENG FIBREGLASS CONTRACTORS is seeking an interior design/architectural designer to work closely with project management and designers, translating concepts into detailed drawings and 3D models.

You will ensure design changes are approved and reflected in drawings, while developing projects from concept to execution with a strong technical eye for fixtures and materials.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Building Construction, Interior Design, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of working experience in construction and related field works.
• Strong design sensibility and ability to develop a project from concept to execution.
• Proficient in design tools listed: AutoCad, Sketchup, Vectorworks, 3D Studio Max, Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino 3D.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project management to integrate design plans into construction.

• Ensure design changes are approved and reflected in drawings.
• Produce detailed 2D/3D designs for interior spaces aligned with specs.

Job Description & Requirements:

• Work closely with project management to integrate design plans seamlessly into the construction process.
• Collaborate with designers to capture client visions, preferences and project requirements.
• Ensure all design changes are approved and accurately reflected in detailed drawings.
• Have a strong design sensibility and the technical ability to develop a project from concept to execution.
• Possess excellent technical design skills for fixtures with an eye for details.
• Proficient in key design tools such as AutoCad, Sketchup, Vectorworks, 3D Studio Max, Illustrator, Photoshop, Rhino 3D.
• Hands-on experience in producing detail drawing and 3D modelling.
• Basic understanding of 3D printing, 3D scanning and CNC machining.
• Demonstrate a good knowledge of architectural production standards, detailing, building materials, building codes and construction.
• Good knowledge of space planning & technical design from approved design schematic.
• Creative, resourceful and demonstrate out of box-thinking.
• Team player with a positive attitude as well as the ability to work independently.
• Excellent presentation skill as well as verbal and written communication skills.
• Create detailed 2D and 3D designs for interior spaces, aligning with project specifications and client expectations.

Requirement:

• Possession of a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Building Construction, Interior Design, Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 3 to 5 years of working experience in construction and related field works.
