Job summary

GMP Recruitment Services (S) Pte Ltd in Singapore seeks a Demand Planning and Procurement Specialist to manage inventory and forecast accuracy, ensuring availability while maintaining healthy stock levels.

You will coordinate with warehouse, forwarders and vendors, maintain material master data and pricing, and drive continuous improvement in planning and procurement within a dynamic regional distribution environment.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Supply Chain or related discipline.
• 3–5 years planning & procurement experience in regional distribution.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of incoterms and inventory management.
• Experience with SAP R3/MM; APO planning is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage inventory to meet KPIs and corporate objectives.
• Support forecast activities and improve forecast accuracy.
• Handle daily/weekly procurement and shipments with warehouse, forwarder and vendors.
• Coordinate inbound deliveries with warehouse and vendors.
• Maintain material master data and purchase price.
• Coordinate third-party shipments with CS, forwarder and vendors.
• Drive continuous improvement in planning and procurement processes.
• Participate in cross-functional meetings and related tasks.

Job description

Reporting to the Head of Logistics, this role is responsible for demand planning and procurement. Managethe inventory of assigned profile to ensure availability while optimizing healthy stock level. Action-orientedwith a focus on achieving results in dynamic environments, with an innovative mindset, open to learningand adaptation.

Key Roles and responsibilities:

• Managing inventory of assigned profile to meet department and corporate KPI.
  
• Support all forecast related activities as well as drives forecast accuracy in AP0.
  
• Engaging in daily or weekly procurement / requisition processes including handling shipments andcoordination with warehouse, forwarder and vendors.
  
• Close collaboration with warehouse and vendors to ensure smooth Inbound delivery.
  
• Responsible for assigned material master data and purchase price.
  Third party trade (Direct dropshipment) and shipment Coordination with CS, forwarder and vendors.
  
• Initiate continuous improvement pertaining to planning and procurement processes.
  
• Taking part in or coordinate meetings with other functional teams.
  
• Carrying out any other tasks related to this position.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics Management or related disciplines
  
• At least 3-5 years of experience in Planning & Procurement for regional distribution environmentWell versed in Microsoft Office i.e. MS Word, Excel & Powerpoint
  
• Good knowledge of international trade including incoterm and inventory management principles
  
• Proficient in SAP R3/MM module, APO planning tool is preferred
  Knowledge of Free Trade Agreement and Third Party shipment is an advantage
  
• Self motivated and result oriented with the ability to work independently
  
• Attention to detail and capable of multi tasking and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
