Job summary

PUB, The National Water Agency in Singapore is offering a role to cover the Lead Specialist in SWR 2 during maternity leave, supporting applied research, technology translation and deployment in decarbonisation and related domains. You will help monitor global tech trends, assist in the evaluation of R&D projects, manage ongoing initiatives, and contribute to roadmaps and funding strategies.

A degree in Engineering and at least 2 years of relevant experience in decarbonisation, carbon capture

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering - At least 2 years' relevant experience, practical knowledge and/or expertise in decarbonisation / carbon removal / carbon capture, storage & utilisation
• Good writing and communication skills
• Self-motivated with a passion for building technical expertise
• Strong analytical and systematic thinking - Works well independently and is a resourceful team player

Responsibilities

• Support the SWR 2 team in keeping abreast of global technological trends and developing technical expertise in decarbonisation and carbon management.
• Assist in the initiation and technical evaluation of R&D projects and proposals.
• Support the management of ongoing R&D projects to ensure they meet objectives, deliverables and timelines.
• Assist in the development and deployment of technologies in decarbonisation, carbon capture, and resource recovery.
• Support the structuring of initiatives that strengthen the research-to-deployment pathway.
• Assist in quantifying R&D outcomes through ROI, CBA and sustainability impact metrics.
• Support the management of key partnerships with international organisations and external stakeholders.
• Assist in the development of technology roadmaps and strategic planning for funding initiatives
